Geta and Footwear

下駄  Geta. They are clogs in Paulownia (Asian tree) wood, light and robust, the flip-flop models whose fabric is soft and decorated with classic Japanese patterns. They are worn with traditional clothes but some models also match today's fashion. Worn in the traditional Japanese way, a little smaller than the foot so that there is about 1 to 2 cm of heel protrusion. They are also worn without tabi.

The  Zoris.  this is the name of women's sandals to be worn with tabi suitable for wearing the kimono. Sandals with tatami or straw footbeds are also called Zori.

The  Jikatabi. thong shoes with rubber soles, they are made of wear-resistant fabric and are used for outdoor work but are also spreading in casual fashion.
